Slip clutches are passive components that reduce the inertia-related shock load during fast coupling processes of coupling elements by transmitting a defined and constant torque. In this way, the coupling is protected and its service life of the coupling components is extended. They can also be used as overload protection when component safety is important. They are characterized by a long service life and very good repeatability despite their small size.
